Zipcar CEO steps down in wake of acquisition by rental-car giant Avis

When Avis Budget Group announced it would be acquiring car-sharing service Zipcar earlier this year, the company said it expected key members of the Zipcar team to stay on to run the service — but Zipcar’s CEO Scott Griffith won’t be one of them. Fortune reports that the Griffith has stepped down from the company, just a day after Avis formally completed its acquisition . Taking his place will be Zipcar’s chief operating officer Mark Norman.
