Microsoft is linking up with video search engine Blinkx in an attempt to SQUASH THE GOOGLE-YOUTUBE THREAT. As a video search engine Microsoft won’t host videos so can’t get sued… unlike YouTube. MS Office UI Manager Discusses How They Made Changes Using Eye-Tracking
Microsoft Office UI manager discusses what methods they used in changing the user interface, which eventually lead to their ribbon UI design. Using eye-tracking, a special monitor that tracks where you eyes focus on the most, they discovered the “hot spots” in Microsoft Office, and used that to better design the UI for greater functionality.
