BestBuy trying to pass off old Xbox as 360
I read yesterday about BestBuys bait and switch tactics. BestBuy was forcing people to buy the 360 bundled with all kinds of stuff many consumers did not want. I thought this was very unethical, but it sounded like a isolated occurrences.
Today I went into BestBuy and saw a big Xbox 360 sign with a stack of shrinked wrap bundles underneath it . You could not see the console, because it was covered with 360 like controllers, remotes, and other things. I thought these things where impossible to get. After moving the 360 controller aside, I noticed that it was a old Xbox underneath.
It is really lousy that BestBuy is doing this. How many Moms and Dads are going to buy these things thinking that they are the new system, and how many kids are going to be disappointed on Christmas morning or Hannaka night.
